From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil: Fanciful story of New Jersey babies Prager and Doran who conceal out in NYC’s Metropolitan Museum, building a fantasy planet and befriending recluse Bergman, seen too concisely. Blanche Hanalis adjusted E. L. Konigsburg’s novel. Cast includes Ingrid Bergman, Sally Prager, Johnny Doran, George Rose, and Madeline Kahn. (105 minutes, 1973)

Trading Mom: It’s about three siblings who couldn’t stand their mom. Spacek cast a spell which makes her-and all memory of her vanish. Here is a flat and inanimate story with meager production values. Cast includes Sissy Spacek, Anna Chlumsky, Aaron Michael Metchik, Asher Metchik, Maureen Stapleton, and Merritt Yohnka. (82 minutes, 1994)

The Good Night: Delightful enough Tylenol fantasy in reference to a prior pop megastar, now a uninterested composer for Television advertisements, who craves to find his accurate fantasy gal. Then she gets to be a tad too genuine. A brunette Gwyneth dials down her radiate to “dull” in this debut film from her sibling, who additionally inscribed the movie. Third-billed Gambon hardly appears. Lucy DeVito is Danny’s genuine-life baby girl. Hannah and Her Sisters: (1986) C-106 Allen strikes gold as he studies some usually fascinating and obsessive New Yorkers whose lives become entangled. Superbly cast with Woody in top form as Farrow’s hypochondriac ex-spouse. Cast includes Woody Allen, Michael Caine, Mia Farrow, Carrie Fisher, Barbara Hershey, Lloyd Nolan, Maureen O’Sullivan, Daniel Stem, Max von Sydow, Dianne Wiest, J.T. Walsh, Richard Jenkins, Julie Kavner, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and John Turturro. (106 minutes, 1986)

The Aviator: A biography of sorts that tells of the early years of the famous Howard Hughes. He was involved in many fields and endeavors, including oil, film, casinos, and aviation. Through all his ventures he turned millions into billions.
